Happy Draw Mohommhed Day!

So, a subset of the Muslim world demands death to those who draw their Prophet. This subset of the Muslim population gets their panties in a knot when someone disagrees with their belief that Islam is not the best thing since sliced bread, and they come out with death threats against people who dare desecrate their prophet (who consummated a marriage to a girl of 6 years old).

So, it's National Draw Mohammad Day, to show these pinheads that there are plenty of people who aren't scared of their threats, who will stand up to their bullying, and who will not submit. Not now, not ever. If you wanna play in the sandbox of civilization, you can't go around threatening to behead those you disagree with. Christians don't demand the slaughter of those who insult Christ, and by all historical data, Christ was actually a likable guy. He didn't rape girls or start wars, and certainly didn't instruct his followers to enslave their neighbors. Need proof? Do a search for current wars. You'll find that Muslim fanatics are on one or both sides of approximately 97% of the wars that are currently being fought.

My only regret is that I couldn't use bacon to make this piece of computerized art.

The Cartoon Controversy

Four years ago, the Jyllands-Postern, a Danish newspaper, published several cartoons that were deemed offensive to Muslims. The paper said this was an attempt bring light to the issue of criticism of Islam and self-censorship by various parties. Muslims believe that it is forbidden to draw Muhammad, for such base action only weakens the prophet.

In fact, Islamic art is characterized by wonderful abstracts that leave current, "modern" abstract artists in the dust. Nothing is as perfect as that which God creates, so the thinking goes, so for us to try to replicate it is an affront to God.

Now, couple the belief that depicting Muhammad is an act of blasphemy with the cry-baby nature of modern Islamists, and you end up with Muslims crying out for the death of those who insult Islam.

Me, being a firm believer that the freedom of speech, believe that we should out shine the light of truth upon them.

If you want to play in the sandbox of the civilized world, you don't get to go around demanding I censor myself. You don't get to go around whining about your hurt feelings. And you certainly don't have the right to demand my head be cut off because your delicate sensibilities are hurt.

To that end, I am reposting the Muhammed cartoons. I will not submit, not now, not when you hold a sword to my throat. Some things are worth fighting for, and freedom is one of them.

The Forbidden Cartoons - Solidarity

Just over two years ago, you may remember the "outrage" of Islamic Fascists over the publication of several cartoons depiciting the wonderful, peace-loving religion of Islam in a less-than-perfect light. The Jyllands-Posten of Denmark published these pictures, and the cartoonist's life has been threatened. Well, lots of peoples' lives have been threatened by these thugs.

As a show of solidarity with the cartoonist and the paper, and to fully uphold my natural right of Free Speech, I have republished the cartoons here. Strangely enough, there have been darned few mainstream media outlets for these cartoons. Apparently, they would rather cower in fear and hope the problem goes away.
To those who would take our freedoms and install sharia law, I say: "I will not submit." Not now, not ever.
