Well, that didn't take long at all

I predicted, back at the "100 Day Extravaganza" mark, that dissent would soon be crushed. Here's the original post.

It turns out I was right. From the White House Blog (here) . . . .

"First, we will expand the restriction on oral communications to cover all persons, not just federally registered lobbyists. For the first time, we will reach contacts not only by registered lobbyists but also by unregistered ones, as well as anyone else exerting influence on the process. We concluded this was necessary under the unique circumstances of the stimulus program."

Never mind that pesky First Amendment. No, those who criticize the Recovery Act must be silenced. Can't have people sowing seeds of dissent.

Unfortunately, the prize for getting this right will likely be a visit from the Obama Administration with a pair of handcuffs.

What does the official Air Force One photo tell you about our President?

"Look at me, I'm more important that that pesky Lady Liberty!"
"All those people scurrying around down there . . . It's like they're afraid or something."
"How dare you criticize me! I'm the President!"

Obama's Recovery Plan is a Failure

Here's the proof:
You see, when this great plan to "save the economy" got started, the Obama Administration dutifully provided facts and figures to prove that we needed to spend trillions of dollars that we don't have in order to forestall certain economic doom. Well, as the graph shows, we are following the "without recovery plan" path very nicely. In fact, it's worse than if the recovery plan was never implemented.

Why is that? Well, those people who create jobs tend to not like higher taxes, more government control, and debt being passed on that cannot possibly be paid back. So, unemployment gets worse as those productive citizens read the writing on the wall and stop producing.

Great job, P-BO. Way to run this country into the ground.

The joys of the Second Amendment

Good.

Don't expect the story to get much attention from the national media, though. Remember the mantra: "Banning guns from college campuses will mean everyone is safe. Guns don't kill people, evil gun companies kill people."
